A story called “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” by Fantastic 4

In the far land of Fudge Cake, an ordinary marshmallow was challenged by the Major.
He was to prove his worth by braving the ravages of time, atop Marshmallow Tower.

But ours was an ambitious marshmallow.
“Oh…this is easy. A cakewalk!” said he, tragically, thinking not of Spaghetti sticks and their fragility.
So he began with zeal and dreams of the crown, but overconfidence and haste pulled him down.

Though the Major Support System- Tape, Thread and Scissors-aided him well. At the last moment his tower gave and, humbled, to the ground he fell.

Now no one would sing him songs of praise, for arrogance had him beat. Still he would achieve some measure of success, not admit defeat. He would not soon forget these painful trials-taking care, testing himself at every stage. And while he couldn’t reach the heights he desired, our Marshmallow had, indeed, come of age.

The Storyboard for “Live More with Neropure” Video

Client: Neropure | Motto: Live More
Product: Stainless steel water tanks
Target: Institutions, schools, hotels, hospitals and homes
Clientele: Shiv Nadar School, Indiabulls, DLF, CK Birla Hospital, Radisson, Ramada, Uppal’s and et cetera.

The initial frames foregrounds the importance of the motto “live more” by depicting different scenarios where people are ‘living it up’. Moving forward it showcases how Neropure fulfills the motto by focusing on the three aspects of ‘health’, ‘comfort’ and ‘ease’ idealised within the images of drops of water. The next frame equates quality of life with water. After a technical know-how about the stainless steel tanks, the storyboard ends with a glimpse of the brand’s clientele.

Concept Art: The Rise of the Monumetals (iii)

iii. The First Contact

The old granthas of MainFrame document the first interaction between humans and neucrons. After the fall of the ancients, the mountains collapsed and the oceans dried. Nations lost and the civilizations on earth came to an abrupt end. Earth was reduced to a mess of rubble and skeleton images. Only a few escaped the utter destruction. The first neucron visited the deserts of TeraNova in the year EB78. The story of the wandering nomad meeting the first neucron is the story of the new beginning. Arhat became the father of the new world. The seeds of a great civilization was sown in the rocky desert.

Concept Art: The Myth

Era |||:|

Even today the Phantom Warriors of the NeonGuards keep searching for that weapon, that spell, that weakness that keeps the planet still alive. They have plundered, destroyed, annihilated the planet yet MainFrame still breathes, it still lives on. The air of the land is drenched in toxic fumes. Biocorrossive chemical residues mask the surface. Nothing remains of any civilization that once lived yet the forces of Anteros continues the search for the missing link.

NeonGuards are perfect soldiers. Created and bred to be warriors. Armed by the known universe’s most advanced technocratic society. Vin Anteros also sent his favourite project, the Athenas. They can find out anything. Anything that has ever been hidden can be detected by them. No matter how deep you hide, how high you fling, how lost you get. Athenas find. They are inquisitive little robots. Creatures of artificial intelligence. It remembers. And it searches. It searches now for the lost clue.

Long ago, time swept in the memories of a child, Vin Anteros. It was a myth, an old story and an oracle. That the seed of the MainFrame’s downfall lay buried in its own skin. Vin Anteros has waited for his revenge. He is now mad with vengeance. His eyes fueled with the miners misery. He searches for the final weapon that will finish the tale of the Mainframe and all it will remain will be debris in space, floating for eternity alone.

The destiny of Vin Anteros lies in the heart of the mangled MainFrame.

Step Three: Storyboard

THE PROCESS OF CREATION: Idea> Concept & Character Design> Storyboard> Script & Voice Over> Animation

A STORYBOARD is a consolidation of the various aspects of the concept. It is the fable depicted in frames. The concept that was revolving in imaginary worlds is now given a lineal story line to inhabit. The characters that were created with  inherent movement is now given a path to express.

A storyboard is a sequence of illustrations with intended dialogues and direction. A storyboard is the master plan. It is the blueprint. It is the stage where each feather of the wing is put into its place.

At Brainpan Studio, our visual artist builds the grid, elaborating the concept into a fascinating tale. At this stage, the characters mingle with the concept. The blood in infused and a brave new world comes into light.

Concept Art: Ship Erebus

Reality is a construct and we are the master constructors. Our ever shifting reality is also our ever evading magnum opus. When finally our dream on Earth broke, we woke up in the womb of Ship Erebus.

The Early Risers invoked the Code of Tabula Rasa. To protect the space civilization from the disease of melancholia, a clean stale was infused. All memory of the dream was erased. Earth was abolished. Human life as we once knew was denied existence and quietly forgotten. Ship Erebus is the only valid reality now. Many call it the Cavity. A never-ending elongated space surrounded on the four sides by the ship. Erebus is our world and our only home.

The Nymphs of OldFate (Fantasy Art)

Scamira was determined not to be late to school again. Madam Zazoori was succinct in her warning. She would have to wear the false hat as a punishment. But yet again she spent the night in the toadstool circle playing with the gnomes. She forgot her charms and potion pot.

She lives on the other side of the Oreva canal in the castle town of Oldfate. It is a part of the last forest of Yearning. Songs of the Nymphs still wander the starry nights. She is studying to become a purple witch but it has been inordinately difficult for her. She can’t recall most spells and the last frog she kissed died of poisoning. Yet she is determined. The old prophesy foresees.

Drinking Tea & Staring at Goats: Manager vs Worker

In a tea garden far far away in Assam, an owner hires two new recruits. One as a plantation worker and another as a manager. Achim, the worker is very hardworking and always on his toes. He wakes up early and works in the estate till it turns dark. He wastes no time and is always ready to work more. Though he never complains about work, he is not happy with the apparent discrepancy in the pay scale. He watches Bhupen, the manager sit at his desk and just play with the computer. While he carries baskets and baskets of tea leaves to the factory, the manager appears to be doodling in his little board. While he sweats in the heat, Bhupen seems to be crackling his bones. He is disappointed that even after all his backbreaking work, he ends up with only a fraction of what Bhupen earns.

Disheartened and disgruntled he goes to the owner with his complain. After patiently listening to Achim, the owner asks him to come to his house the next day. When Achim does, the owner sends him to his backyard to look at his goat. The goat had recently given birth. When he comes back, the owner inquires about the goat. Achim replies, “The goat gave birth to three little kids”. “Are they all of the same gender?”, ask the owner. “I will go check”, says Achim. “Two males, one female”. “What colours are they?”, asks the owner. “I will go check”, says Achim again. “Two brown, one black.” “Are they all healthy?”, asks the owner. “I will go check”, says Achim again. “Two seem healthy, one limps a little”. “Do they have enough water?”, asks the owner. “I will go check”, says Achim again.

Meanwhile Bhupen had come to get a file signed. Now the owner asks the manager to go to his backyard and look at the goat. When he comes back, the owner inquires about the goat. Bhupen replies, “The goat looks healthy. She has given birth to three kids. Two males, one female. The males appears to be healthy but the female has a limp. There was not enough water. Therefore I filled the bucket with some.”

The owner looks at Achim and says, “Do you understand now why there is a difference in the pay scale?” I pay you for your hard work. I pay him for his smartness. He did the same task that needed to be done but in lesser time, with lesser effort and with no supervision.
