Music Video for “From Shadows to the Stars” by Afterglow

The second video release after ‘Spaces’ is a dedication to the life and struggle of Rohith Vemula. Composed and arranged by Shivam Khare and accompanied by Rie Ona on clarinet, Sonic Shori on bass and Sreenath Sreenivisan on drums.

“From Shadow to the Stars” is a homage to the lives that are lost and the lives that are lived in the terror of caste discrimination.

“The value of a man was reduced to his immediate identity and nearest possibility. To a vote. To a number. To a thing. Never was a man treated as a mind. As a glorious thing made up of star dust.” –Rohith Vemula in his suicide letter dated 17th January 2016.

Recorded and Edited by Brainpan Studio.

What are Infographics?

Infographics are the visual representations of information in a succinct and attractive manner. It clearly conveys the information in a progressive and an easy way.

In the age of ever diminishing attention span, vast amount of text is highly unlikely to gather a big audience. Infographics on the other hand, makes information fun and memorable through graphical representation. The adage, “A picture speaks a thousand words” speaks true.

Audience are more likely to engage with the visual media rather than read through corpus of text. Infographics creates a precise world for the audience to interact. It takes less time of the audience and have high recall value.
